New Features
This week we are excited to launch a new feature called Group Quizzes! This new feature is available to Beta Users and will allow teachers to easily customize their quizzes. They can now add or remove questions, and even pull in questions from other quizzes.
Customizing the group quiz content. [Beta Users]
Building tools Quiz Builder
Available: Nov 28, 2023
With this feature, a teacher can customize the content of the quizzes and adapt them to each group of students. They will be able to manage the quiz by adding questions or pools of questions, removing questions, and, if necessary, resetting the quiz to its original state.
Updated Editing for Quiz Settings. [Beta Users]
Building tools Quiz Builder
Available: Sep 28, 2023
Teachers are now able to create multiple quiz settings and apply them to groups, or even individual students! Presets can also be saved and applied to any context. Users can create new settings, edit, or even remove the existing ones on just one page.
Partner and Institution level quiz settings are now available. [Beta Users]
Building tools Quiz Builder
Available: Oct 24, 2023
A new interface is available for managers to review the quiz setting for the entire school. Institution managers will also be able to change the settings for all the students in the school, creating a unified set of default settings for schools or classes.
Copy a Group quiz into a Course. [Beta Users]
Building tools Quiz Builder
Available: Oct 24, 2023
From the group quiz builder interface, a course creator can copy the quiz to a Course. The user will be able to navigate to the courses with edit permissions and add the quiz to them. This will allow teachers to share a group quiz that they have created outside of the group. This requires having a custom course built to add the quiz to.
Improvements
Unsaved changes indicator added to the Quiz Builder.

Available: Oct 27, 2023
When the user modifies the content from the builder or settings tab, a red dot will appear on the tab name to let the user know that there are unsaved changes.

The quiz version is available in the attempts table on the Activity Report.
Reporting Activity Report
Available: Oct 24, 2023
From this release, a teacher will be able to see the quiz version number in a separate column in the attempts table on the Activity Report. This will allow teachers to know exactly which version each student has taken. The teacher will also be able to sort by this column as desired.

Preview disabled for quizzes with no questions added.
Reporting Activity Report
Available: Oct 24, 2023
To prevent discrepancies in the user experience in the quiz builder, we decided to disable the preview button for course creators when the quiz has no questions added. This improvement will be active when displaying a quiz with no questions from the history tab, during the initial state of the quiz, and also when the user removes all the questions from the quiz.
Fixed Bugs
Updates on answers to practice questions within lessons were not saved on slow internet connections.
Fixed: Oct 24, 2023
Affected users: Students
Users reported experiencing data loss from the entered answers to the questions when using a slow internet connection. We managed to improve our saving and sync process to avoid data loss while experiencing a slow internet connection. Our users can now be confident to know if a entered answer is saved or not.
Accessibility settings affected the loading of the lesson content.
Fixed: Nov 15, 2023
Affected users: Everyone
When the “prefer reading” option was enabled on the accessibility settings, the user could not see the complete content of a lesson, only placeholders were shown. Since this fix, there is no relation between the accessibility settings and the display of the lesson content. The user will be able to see and complete the lessons regardless of the accessibility settings.
Geometry answers were displayed in the wrong format.
Fixed: Nov 15, 2023
Affected users: Students Teachers
When answering geometry questions by dragging and dropping, the result was displayed to the user in plain text. This format did not help users to identify the correct geometry equation. Now the user can interact with drag and drop geometry questions without experiencing change of format issues.
The attempts page did not show the correct number of questions.
Fixed: Nov 10, 2023
Affected users: Teachers
Some users reported seeing differences between the number of questions in the Quiz builder and the attempts page. The attempts page was fixed to show the correct number of questions and to be compliant with the number of questions in the Quiz Builder.
Discarded quiz attempts were visible to students.
Fixed: Nov 10, 2023
Affected users: Students
When discarding a quiz, the attempt was visible to the students and caused errors when trying to preview the quiz attempt. Now the discarded quiz attempt is only visible to the teachers.
